Sage Coffee Machines
Sage coffee machines often include a built-in burr grinder and an easy grind amount dial that allows the beans that have been ground directly into the portafilter. They also have a low pressure pre-infusion and 9 bar extraction system to guarantee ideal espresso flavour every time.
Tamp the ground coffee well using the tamper. Then put it into the group head before selecting the single or double shot. Then steam the milk using the steam wand, which is automated, and enjoy your cafe-style coffee at your home!
Barista Express
The Barista Express is a high-quality espresso maker that gives you the experience of a cafe at to your home. It has a lot of features for those who wish to improve their skills however, it also has options that can help beginners make good shots quickly. It’s a bit more expensive than some of the other models we have tested, but it offers an improved quality of performance.
The machine is equipped with a thermocoil which is quick to heat and allows simple transitions between making a cup and vaporizing. It is among the few machines to create the perfect layer of steamed milk to make lattes, which is difficult to achieve without a lot of practice. This feature was a major factor for us, as we were looking for a machine that could create the rich and creamy cafe-style coffee we enjoy. The Barista Express did achieve this however it took longer than other models we looked at.
It comes with a large water tank that can hold up to 67 ounces. It is simple to refill and comes with a built-in water filter that removes impurities and scale to ensure that your coffee tastes fresh. Another advantage is that the machine is simple to clean. It is recommended to remove the machine every 3 to 5 months to prevent the buildup of minerals on the internal components.
Similar to the other Breville machines we’ve tested, the Barista Express is designed for those who are looking to improve their skills. This means that the machine does not have the more sophisticated features that are available in other Breville models, such as a display to show you how much water and pressure is being used, as well as an automatic milk frother. However, this doesn’t mean that the Barista Express isn’t a great alternative for coffee lovers who are looking to upgrade their home espresso machine.
This model has 4 portafilter baskets that include pressurized as well as non-pressurized versions. It also includes a high-quality tamper that is conveniently stored on the machine. The tamper is adjustable, to ensure that you get the proper amount of pressure making shots. It also comes with a pre-infusion low-pressure stage that can help to level out the grind, and allow for an even extraction at 9 bar pressure.
Dual Boiler
This machine was designed by Sage (or Breville worldwide) to provide those who desire cafe quality espresso at home. It has a couple of features which set it apart from the competition. It firstly, it has an in-built portafilter that is bottomless, which gives the espresso shot a nice look and allows you to determine how much pre-infusion occurred. Additionally, it has a manual button that keeps the machine in pre-infusion until you press the manual button once more. This is a fantastic feature that mimics the way baristas work in cafes and makes it a breeze to pull a great shot every time.
It also has an indicator for the pressure of steam, which is pretty cool, as well as the ability to alter the pre infusion power for different extraction time. This feature isn’t typical on machines that are domestic however it can make huge differences to your shots. It also has an easy-to-read water level indicator to let you know when it’s time to refill.
This machine is different from other Sage models because it features a the double boiler system. This allows you to make a steam while brewing, which is great for milk-based drinks. It also comes with a PID that allows you to control the brew temperatures which is not available on other machines. The only real downside of this is that it costs more than a single boiler or heat exchanger systems.
The EB590 also has a range of other features. For instance, it can be programmed to turn off at a specific time so that it’s ready when you need it. This is a fantastic feature that isn’t available on other machines and is a huge benefit for those who depend on their coffee maker to help wake them up in the morning.
It also comes with standby mode and auto shutdown which are both very useful features to improve energy efficiency. The auto shutdown feature is particularly useful as it will shut down automatically after an hour of inactivity. This will help you save money on your electric bill as well as preserving the lifespan of the machine.
Oracle
Sage coffee machines are made specifically for the user, which is evident in their selection. They have realised that not everyone can take on the challenges of barista style espresso making, so their machines aim to automate as much of the process as possible whilst allowing users to be involved in the extraction and shaping of milk for cappuccino as well as latte art. A majority of their models include a built-in burr grinder, or are compatible with a stand alone model for a complete bean-to-cup experience.
The Oracle is a good example of this; it has the brilliant Sage Dual Boiler at its base and makes use of it to make excellent quality espresso but then adds automated dosing, tamping and milk texturing to remove the need for any barista expertise. It also includes additional features, such as programmable pouring settings and triple heat systems. The downside is that it is one of the more expensive coffee machines for domestic use on the market.
The Duo Temp Pro is a great machine for those looking for an Sage machine that is less expensive. It doesn’t come with the App-based technology or pressure gauge as the Oracle, but it still performs well. It features a large tank of water and can be used with filter coffee, as well as ground coffee. It also has a steam wand and a digital guide display. Its heating time of three seconds is impressive. The majority of commercial machines take much longer to reach the temperature required to extract.
The Sage Precision Brewer is the latest addition to their line of filter coffee makers and although it is at the top end of the price spectrum for a coffee maker at home, it comes with some unique and very useful functions that make it stand out from the crowd. It includes several fittings on the brew basket so it can be used with different filters. The inner cone is removable to allow you to reuse a filter. It also comes with a convenient timer to allow you to set it up at night before for the quick filter coffee machine price jug in the morning. The automatic texturing of milk is also a great feature. It can be adjusted to your preferences to ensure an even or smooth brew.
Duo Temp Pro
Sage Duo Temp Pro makes the perfect machine for those who want to make specialty coffees from the third wave at home. This espresso machine comes with an ultra-low-pressure pre-infusion system to ensure even extraction and balanced flavors. It has a tamper, which makes it easier to apply the right amount of pressure when you are putting the coffee grounds into the portafilter. It has a handy maintenance indicator which informs you when to clean your machine.
The Duo Temp Pro has a many great features that set it apart from other espresso machines available. The automatic purge feature makes sure that the temperature of the water remains consistent throughout the brewing process. The stainless steel tank is built to last. It is equipped with a 1600W thermocoil heating system that allows you to enjoy the finest quality espresso every time.
It is important to keep in mind that this machine does not have a built-in grinder. It is recommended that you make use of a Sage Barista Touch or an external grinder with a dose control setting to make the most of this machine. It is also not self-cleaning, so you’ll have to perform regular maintenance tasks like decalcifying and washing. These tasks will take around 30 minutes, but they’re not arduous and are a necessary part of keeping the machine in good condition.
If you’re new in making espresso, the Duo Temp Pro will require some learning curves. It’s not as easy to use as fully automated machines however, you can make a delicious cup of espresso by following the steps. The brew-valve sprays a tiny amount of water at a lower pressure on the grinds prior to increasing the pressure. This helps to correct any small errors made in tamping or the size of the grind. This allows new users to have an equilibrating tasting cup.
The Duo Temp Pro also has steam wands that have an element of 1600 watts. This will produce a large amount of milk to make cappuccinos or flat whites. It comes with a substantial steel milk container that is able to handle high heat for microfoam. The wand comes with an adjustable dial that gives you complete control over time of your steaming.
