Entering this year, Montreal-born Felix Auger-Aliassime was 0-8 in ATP Finals. Almost 11 months later, the Canadian phenom has won three titles. Two of which were back to back, last week winning the Firenze Open in Florence, then Sunday winning the European Open in Belgium, defeating American Sebastian Korda in straight sets.

Auger-Aliassime’s recent success has seen him as high as number 8 in the world rankings. The highest a Canadian man has been dubbed since Milos Raonic stood 3rd behind Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic in 2016.

Felix has nothing but time on his side, as the 22-year old comes into his prime Canadians have increasing quantities of quality tennis to look forward to. With fellow Canadian Dennis Shapovalov, the worlds number 19 at just 24 who has been ranked as high as 10th in the world.

Both youngsters will be in action and looking to improve their rankings this week. Felix is playing in the Swiss Indoors Basel, in Basil, Switzerland. While Shapovalov just won his first-round match with Austrian Jurij Rodionov in Vienna, Austria at the Erste Bank Open.
