A double blue win at home against the Elks (Saturday, October 15 at 7 p.m. EST) and an Alouettes loss in Ottawa at TD Place Stadium (Friday, October 14th at 7 p.m. EST) means the Argonauts will have clinched the East Division with two weeks remaining.

If this scenario plays out Toronto will host the East Final at BMO Field. In Week 16 the Argos ensured they would host their first game of the playoffs for the second year in a row.

The Argonauts have experienced success this year in their division sporting a 6-2 record when playing in the East. The West on the other hand has caused trouble for Toronto with a 3-4 record inter-divisionally.

While that bodes well for the likelihood of Toronto reaching the Grey Cup since the 2017 win over the Stampeders in the snow in Ottawa. The Argos record against the West does leave room for concern if they do feature in the Grey Cup.

Though Argo fans recent memory persists in reminding them that anything can happen in the final.
